Daniel Bernhardt started training martial arts at the age of fifteen in his native Switzerland. His first discipline was Kung-Fu. He started training several hours a day with friends at the local park. Martial Arts become Bernhardt's passion.
Bernhardt realized that his legs became a very effective weapon and started training in kick boxing. In his early twenties, Bernhardt started to travel the world as a fashion model and trained with different masters and teachers in Thai Boxing, Boxing and Karate.
In 2003, Bernhardt was introduced to Grand Master Hee Il Cho and started training in Teak-Won -Do with the legendary Grand Master privately for his preparation of Bloodsport: The next Kumite. Bernhardt and Grand Master Hee Il Cho became close friends and ended up working together on Bloodsport: The next Kumite and Bloodsport 3. Bernhardt also started to train children at Grand Master Cho's school.
It was a pleasure and a honor to be working with such an icon in the Martial Arts world as Grand Master Hee Il Cho.
